PROGRAM - Our speaker for the March meeting will be Christine Wright of Country & Cabin Antiques of Stonington, Connecticut. For about 20 years, Christine has been trading in antiques geared to the Adirondack school of interior design. She regularly exhibits at the Pier Show in New York City, as well as the Adirondack Mountain Show which has been a phenomena of customer interest and popularity. She describes her stock as "if you can picture it in a million dollar home in Telluride, that's for me!"

Christine immerses herself in Adirondack life in her charming rustic cottage which many members have seen on the road that leads to Pine Point School. Her business has just been the subject of a photo shoot by Architectural Digest magazine where it will be featured in the "Designers' Discoveries" section of the June issue.

SPRING SHOW UPDATE- 'The Spring Show Peel n' Stick Party was held at Village Antiques in Scituate on Wednesday, February 16. It was not only an extremely productive event but, will, in all likelihood, be heralded as "the" societal gala event of the 2005 spring season. Carl Johnson's lemon squares and Charlie McCaughey's coconut custard pie were particularly well
received and adult beverages were served. The festivities began promptly
at 6:30 p.m. and over 3000 postcards, stamps and address labels were peeled and stuck-to say nothing of the stamping that went on! Although the peeling, sticking and stamping were completed by 8:30, it was well past midnight when the orchestra had left the building and the performing seals and porpoises were loaded in their trucks. NEW MEMBERS - Four new memberships were voted upon at the January holiday party. Nanci Thompson, Gail Spodaryk Antiques, Olde China Trader, and Lindsey-Woolsey Antiques were all approved and welcomed.
