December Newsletter
New Newsletter Delivery Format
Beginning with the new year, any member who has
an e-mail address listed in our 2003 brochure will be receiving
their newsletter via e-mail. Only those members with no e-mail
address listed will receive the newsletter via snail
mail. The newsletter will also be available on the SNEADA web
site. The web site address is WWW.SNEADA.ORG.
Sunshine Program
As our membership has grown and become more diverse, it is becoming
very difficult to send cards and/or flowers on a timely basis.
Notification often comes to us too late, or not at all. Accordingly,
SNEADA will no longer send cards or flowers, but will publish
this information in the newsletter and on the web site when notified.
Please contact the Corresponding Secretary, or a Board member,
if you become aware of a situation involving a member where get-well
wishes, congratulations, or condolences should be mentioned.
Novembers Meeting:
The Dealer of the Year Award was given to Marry Gormally, Mentor
Antiques, North Kingstown. Marry was chosen for her participation
and enthusiasm, both as a general member and retiring Board member.
Marry worked tirelessly wherever needed, always represented SNEADA
in a professional way and is a much deserved recipient.
Thirty five members turned out for a very informative
talk given by Joel Hawkins on early glass, and block prints by
Connecticut artist Thomas Nason.
