PROGRAM - We are pleased to announce that Kenneth Gloss, proprietor

Post Road in Warwick, RI on Monday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. The Brattle
Book Store is one of Americas oldest and best-known antiquarian
book shops. Kenneth Gloss has appeared as an appraiser on PBS
Antiques Roadshow and has submitted appraisals for many prestigious

Tufts, and many others.
The lecture title is Treasures In Your Attic;
Old and Rare Books. Kenneth will talk about old and rare
books and what makes them valuable. He will take questions from
the audience and appraise all books that are brought in. He encourages
you to bring books for evaluation. As always, this lecture is
open to the public and there is no admission charge.
PCD SPRING SHOW - A full report on the Spring Show
will be in next months newsletter. Preliminary reports show
that the gate attendance was up from last year.
VARNUM ARMORY MEETING - If you did not come to the
March meeting at the Varnum Armory in East Greenwich, you missed
a great tour of a major collection of militeria from the Revolutionary
War period forward. Weapons, uniforms, flags, posters, paintings,
etc.--they have it all! It is a wonderful exhibit.
CONDOLENCES - We regret the passing of long-time
member Beatrice Brabyn Allen. Beatrice had been a member of SNEADA
since 1984. Our condolences to her family and friends.
BEST WISHES - To our Great Leader, Ken MacDonald,
for a speedy recovery!
Happy Spring to all!
