Bennington Pottery Parian 7 1/2
Size: 7 1/2 " high
Age: circa 1850
This is a parian porcelain corn cob vase with two cherubs at its' base. It is one of the few parian patterns that is uniquely American in origin and is considered very uncommon. It is pictured on page163 in the book, " Bennington Pottery and Porcelain" by Richard Carter Barret, curatator of the Bennington Museum. The condition of this piece is excellent.
